Today Miodrag Stojanovic and Radoslav Gramzov, defence counsels of Ljubomir Borovcanin, visited the Secretariat.
The counsels asked to have the insight into the documentation in the possession of the Secretariat, in order to use it as evidence in the trial against Ljubomir Borovcanin.
The Secretariat let the counsels have the insight into the documentation which will be used during the trial. At the meeting it was agreed on the further cooperation and the Secretariat stressed its willingness to grant future requests made by the defence counsels in regard to the transfer of the documentation during the trial.
In the period mentioned in the indictment, Ljubomir Borovcanin assumed the position of the Deputy Commander of the Brigade of the Special Police of RS. In the indictment he is charged on the basis of the individual criminal responsibility and the criminal responsibility of the superior officer for the acts committed in Srebrenica from 11 – 18 July 1995. Ljubomir Borovcanin voluntarily surrendered to the RS Police 1 April 2005.
